Say what you want about Alex Smith, but he went 13-3 last year and took his team to the  NFC Championship game. He had a good passer rating and went 6-2-1 as a starter in 2012 and helped his team get to a SuperBowl. No shame in that.

No doubt Kaepernick should be the starter, but too much hate out there for Alex.
